Improved registration with dynamic content and new API connections

A future-proof platform that adapts to the user’s due date

Some projects start with a clear technical question, but require a broader view of the whole. For Rondom de Geboorte, the process began with a migration of existing links, but it soon became clear that more was needed to make the platform future-proof. Together, we investigated how technology, structure, and user experience could be better aligned.

Background

Rondom de Geboorte is part of the Youth Health Care department of GGD Amsterdam. The organization offers a variety of pregnancy courses, both before and after birth, with the aim of making them accessible to all Amsterdam residents. For this project, we designed and built a new website that dynamically adjusts the content and course offerings based on the expected due date. This allows visitors to find a course that suits their situation and needs more quickly.

Project request

We were contacted by email by Marja, project manager at Rondom de Geboorte, with a request to migrate the website www.rondomdegeboorte.nl from SOAP web services to REST APIs. In addition, the existing SuperSaaS link had to be expanded from one to four calendars. At that time, the SuperSaaS link was still running via Coachview’s SOAP web services. After several consultations and a survey, it was decided to completely revamp the website.

Our solution

We developed a new design that combines warmth, trust, and the identity of Rondom de Geboorte. The visual style appeals to the target group and brings the theme of birth to life in an accessible and contemporary way. We also optimized the registration process. By including the due date in the user flow, among other things, we help visitors find a course that suits their stage and needs more quickly. We also created two separate links to the course administration, which has significantly streamlined internal processes for employees.

Techniques & services

The website was developed using the latest WordPress techniques and designed with scalability and manageability in mind. We also developed two API links that:

• provide the platform with courses and workshops in real time
• automatically forward registrations to SuperSaaS and Coachview

This has laid a stable and future-proof technical foundation for both the course offering and the processing of registrations.

The result

A warm, modern website that reflects the character of Rondom de Geboorte. With a clear and intuitive registration process, while a solid technical infrastructure in the background ensures efficient processing and further development.
